This photo, taken on a run to Peckforton Gap 25th August 1925, is the very best picture of the two chums together, Tom Idle on the other side of the wall, Charlie at this side. We can follow this up with a picture of Tom, no location or date given, on his bike and a further one below of Tom standing in the backyard of an unknown house.  Suffice to say that although Charlie wrote much in his photo albums, it wasn’t enough to help an outsider looking through the many pictures !

Just look at those trouser turnups, better than vacuum cleaners !
