I had spent until 3pm this afternoon in repairing the bottom bracket, therefore it was 3.30 before we got a start.  We made for Ringway via Stretford and Brooklands Drive.  After some winding bylanes around Styal we came to Wilmslow and Alderley where we tucked into a gorgeous feed.  Before we started back we had a walk and watched the sun set.  Wilmslow and Cheadle passed, we turned up Kingsway and so reached Piccadilly, the centre of Manchester, where at 9.30pm I left Tom.  At Blackfriars I got lost and came home via Prestwich, Whitefield and Radcliffe, getting severely shaken up on the road, returning at 11.15pm.
